St. Paul, Minn. — What do you call a string ensemble when it adds a wind instrument? "Good question," say the members of the Spaghetti Western String Co. They've added a clarinetist in the past year which moved them in new musical directions while maintaining their indefinable sound. The resulting new CD, "Lull and Clatter," is being released this week and contains more original music by the band along with guest musicians and even a choir.

Spaghetti Western String Co. has written music for film scores as well as live dance performances. "Lull and Clatter" is their third recording and they performed music from the CD in the studio with Dale and Jim Ed.

Songs performed: "The Percussionist" and "Hoof on the Rail"
