Iraqi-American Abbas Mehdi is back in Minnesota after spending 14 months helping rebuild his country's economy.

• Abbas Mehdi: Professor of sociology at St. Cloud State University. During his time in Iraq, Mehdi served as a senior advisor to the U.S. Agency for International Development and with the Iraqi government as chairman of the Iraqi National Investment Commission.
