Fighting global warming by manipulating the climate

St. Paul, Minn. — Installing mirrors in space? Dispersing sulfur into the stratosphere? These are just some of the ideas that have been suggested as a last-ditch effort to combat global warming.

While some scientists say such climate engineering should be studied, others worry that the prospect of intentionally manipulating the climate is fraught with danger.
