What it takes to achieve new carbon emission goals
St. Paul, Minn. — A group of Midwestern governors announced Thursday a multi-state agreement aimed at limiting carbon emissions. The agreement sets several targets for emissions reduction and renewable energy that Minnesota, Manitoba and five other states pledged to meet.
Bill Grant is director of the Midwest office of the Izaak Walton League, an environmental group. He also serves on the Minnesota Climate Change Advisory Group. All Things Considered host Tom Crann spoke with Grant about what needs to be done to achieve the goals laid out in the agreement.
