Getting back on the bus

St. Paul, Minn. — Traffic congestion has not been as big a problem as many predicted in the metro area. But there has been a sharp increase in one kind of vehicle on Minnesota roads the last couple of days: The big yellow school bus.

Dave Lakey drives one of those buses for school district 196 in Rosemount and Apple Valley. That job gives him unique, if not enviable, insight into the modern school child. Dave Lakey joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann to discuss what its like driving a big yellow bus.
