China's environmental crisis

China's booming economy has created what Elizabeth Economy calls an environmental crisis. Economy is the author "The River Runs Black: The Environmental Challenge to China's Future," and she spoke about China's growing pollution problem this summer at the Chautauqua Institution in New York.
