Rebuilding after floods takes money and resolve

St. Paul, Minn. — Residents in southeastern Minnesota are cleaning up from weekend floods that killed seven people and damaged an estimated 4,000 homes.

Dave Smiglewski knows what it's like to rebuild a damaged town. Smiglewski is the mayor of Granite Falls, which fought two major floods in recent years. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Smiglewski about his city's experiences.
