Is bottled water all wet?

San Francisco has banned it in city buildings. The United Church of Canada is considering a boycott. And Londoners are being urged to go cold turkey. The backlash against bottled water has begun.

St. Paul, Minn. — Over the last 30 years, the United States has gone from a land of water fountains and tap water to a country that shells out $15 billion a year for the bottled stuff.

We have water shipped in from places like Iceland and Fiji, despite the fact most of us can get clean water right out of the faucets in our own homes. And we're willing to pay up to $11 a gallon for the imported liquid.
