(AP) - The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued an air pollution warning for Thursday for an area covering the Twin Cities and extending up to St. Cloud and Brainerd.

High ozone levels are in the air, the MPCA said.

Warm weather and sunny skies have enhanced ozone formation, and light southerly winds will bring moisture and pollutants to the region.

Officials recommend that people with respiratory, cardiovascular and heart conditions, senior citizens, children and physically active adults take caution.

Those groups should avoid vigorous or prolonged exercise, especially in the afternoon and early evening.
