Investigating the invasive emerald ash borer

St. Paul, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is hoping that by encouraging vacationers to burn local firewood, they'll help stall the threat posed by emerald ash borers, an invasive insect that has already destroyed millions of trees.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer talked with Jeff Hahn, an entomologist with the University of Minnesota Extension, about the pest and how to recognize if it's burrowed into your trees.
