New Ordway president calls the job a homecoming
St. Paul, Minn. — The new president of the Ordway Center for Performing Arts is in St. Paul this week to meet city officials and get an idea of the challenges that lie ahead for her. Patricia Mitchell starts her new job Aug. 1.
Mitchell most recently served as the president of the Literacy Network of Greater Los Angeles, though she's spent most of here career in the arts.
She was once cirector of community services for The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, and has worked with the San Francisco Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl.
MPR's Greta Cunningham talked with Patricia Mitchell, who said she sees her new job at the Ordway as a homecoming.
