St. Paul, Minn. — In recent years, some prominent politicians and business leaders have suggested that high schools, particularly big ones, are not equipped to prepare students for the modern world.

Minnesota Public Radio asks "is high school obsolete?" in a series of reports. MPR's Cathy Wurzer talks with Minnesota Public Radio education reporter Laura McCallum for an overview of the current state of high school education and a preview of the series.
