Cracking down on predatory lenders
April 12, 2007
St. Paul, Minn. — A spokesman for Gov. Pawlenty says the governor is supportive of a bill moving through the DFL-controlled legislature that cracks down on predatory lending practices.
The proposal has already passed through the House, and the Senate is expected to vote on its version of the bill today.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer talked with State Sen. Linda Higgins, DFL-Minneapolis, the chief author of the bill in the Senate.
