Iraq war enters its fifth year
On March 19, 2003, President Bush announced that he had begun "military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger." Four years later America remains in Iraq, and the country is divided over how to proceed.
- Barbara Bodine: Fellow with the Persian Gulf Initiative at MIT's Center for International Studies. Bodine was U.S. ambassador to Yemen from 1997-2001, and also worked for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq in 2003.
