Political scientists battle global warming, too

When President Bush inserted "climate change" into his State of the Union address, it was just the latest sign that Washington finally may be taking global warming seriously.

Researchers at a University of Minnesota conference this weekend are examining what factors make some nations so quick -- or slow -- to adopt the changes needed to combat global warming.

Kathryn Harrison has taken the political science approach to global warming for years. She's a professor at the University of British Columbia and she's in the Twin Cities for the conference. She talked to host Tom Crann.
