Vikram Chandra writes an epic tale
Vikram Chandra's new novel is 900 pages long and touches on the riches and the squalor of moden life in India.

It involves a lowly police officer and a hugely successful gang boss. While their stories are intertwined, Chandra told Minnesota Public Radio's Euan Kerr that neither of them really knows it.
