Lawmakers debate whether inflation matters in budget

St. Paul, Minn. — This week, lawmakers at the state Capitol have been talking about inflation. It isn't the sexiest of topics, but about $1 billion is at stake.

The debate over whether to factor inflation into the state's budget forecast will determine how much extra money is available for state programs. Minnesota Public Radio's Tom Scheck reports.
