The Minnesota Fantasy Legislature is based on "teams" of legislators, who accumulate points based on the actual workings of the 2007 Minnesota Legislature.

The Minnesota state Legislature convenes today. In addition to Minnesota Public Radio's comprehensive political coverage, this year there will be a new way to follow the legislative session.

It's called Fantasy Legislature, and it's a little bit like playing fantasy football, except the players are state senators and representatives and points are earned when bills pass committees and become laws.

Cathy Wurzer talked with the creator and commissioner of Fantasy Legislature, Minnesota Public Radio's Bob Collins.
