Tax subsidies lure business to the suburbs

St. Paul, Minn. — Tax subsidies for corporations are luring businesses from the Twin Cities' urban core to more distant suburbs. That's according to a new study released today by Good Jobs First. It contends that this practice pits municipalities against one another over economic development.

Joining us today is Jay Kiedrowski, senior fellow at the Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center at the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute and former finance commissioner for the state of Minnesota.
