Get into the holiday spirit

When it comes to December holidays, Christmas gets most of the attention. But this month also marks the official celebrations of hamburgers, gazpacho and the game of Bingo.

St. Paul, Minn. — For the most part, December is a time of Christmas trees and menorahs. So it's easy for the month's less popular celebrations to get overlooked.

But in addition to Christmas and Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and the Winter Solstice, December also brings National Pawnbrokers Day, National Fritter Day and the Festival for the Souls of Dead Whales.
