St. Paul, Minn. — Linda Stanton is a geriatric social worker who lives with her husband in Woodbury. She's an East Coast transplant who loves life in Minnesota.
She used to consider herself an independent who voted her conscience. She supported McCarthy, Bill Clinton, even Al Gore.
Her political loyalties shifted dramatically during the 2004 election, when she says she realized the Democrats had lost their moral compass.
