Duluth's poet

Saturday in Duluth, there'll be an inaugural reading for the city's first-ever Poet Laureate.

Bart Sutter holds that honor, and he spoke with Minnesota Public Radio before the event.

Duluth, Minn. — Bart Sutter -- Duluth's first poet laureate -- will read poetry, and his brother Ross Sutter will play music Saturday night at 7:30 in the Weber Music Hall at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Sutter is the only author to win a Minnesota Book Award in three separate categories.

Former American Poet Laureate Ted Kooser selected Sutter's "Sober Song" for one of his early "American Life in Poetry" columns.
