Accentuate the negative

Negative campaign ads have been blamed for low voter turnout and political apathy. But some say they actually play an important role in the democratic process.

St. Paul, Minn. — Political scientist John Geer says attack ads might just be good for America. Reporter Nikki Tundel talked to the Vanderbilt professor about the positive side of negative campaigns.
