Kaki King performs in studio

St. Paul, Minn. — Kaki King's new album is a departure from her previous acoustic releases; it's a mixture of instrumental melodies featuring vibes, drums, lap-steel guitar, electric guitars, flugelhorn, and--most notably--her own voice.

King made a stop in the Twin Cities to support the new CD, "Until We Felt Red, with a performance at the Varsity Theatre.

Songs performed: "First Brain," "Yellow Cake" and "Goby."
