Coleman praises Bush's call for moderation in U.N. speech
St. Paul, Minn. — Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman, along with Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., represents the United States in the United Nations 61st General Assembly. Coleman was present at the U.N. for President Bush's address today.
Coleman spoke to MPR's Tom Crann about his frustration with outmoded U.N. policies and programs that fail to provide relief to nations in distress. He also reconfirmed his passion for reform at the U.N., and praised Bush for his plea for forces of moderation in the face of the "grave difficulties we face today in the Middle East."
