St. Paul, Minn. — Hailing from the city of New Orleans, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has been going strong for over 30 years. Each member of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band could tell you how Hurricane Katrina has affected their lives, but as a group they continue to tour and share the musical traditions and culture of New Orleans.

In recognition of the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the devastation of New Orleans, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has just released a tribute to the Marvin Gaye classic "What's Going On?". Even after 35 years the social messages of Gaye's music is just as relevant in today's society.

In the aftermath of Katrina, it's especially important to the band to spread the word about "what's going on" in New Orleans.

Songs performed: "Right On," "New Orleans Medley," and "My Feet Can't Fail Me Now."

Engineers: Michael DeMark and Sam Keenan
