The Walkmen - in studio

June 3, 2006

St. Paul, Minn. — The Walkmen are five guys from New York, but you'd never guess it from their rich and rhythmic - almost mariachi-style - sound.

Their new record "A Hundred Miles Off" has the band exploring new sonic territory, exchanging instruments for a different sound, and even recruiting audience members along their tour to play with them onstage.

In an interview with The Current's Tony Lopez, The Walkmen bring a sample of their lush, melodic rock, and chat about, among other things, the novel they're collectively writing. Songs performed: "Good for You's, Good for Me," "Louisiana," and "Another One Goes By."
