St. Paul, Minn. — After 43 years and almost 300 productions, the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis will close its storied Vineland Place stage after Sunday night. Next month the Guthrie will move to its new, $125 million complex along the Mississippi River.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer talked with Morning Edition's arts commentator, Dominic Papatola, about the history of the Guthrie.
