The battle against breast cancer

Women who contribute time and money to breast cancer research causes should find out how that money really is being spent, according to a long time advocate, author, and former breast cancer surgeon.

• Susan Love, MD: One of the founders of the breast cancer advocacy movement. She is president and medical director of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation in Pacific Palisades, California, a nonprofit dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer. She's also a clinical professor of surgery at UCLA's school of medicine.
