  • Steve Bell: ABC News war correspondent during the early 1970s.
  • Frances Fitzgerald: Author of the 1972 book "Fire in the Lake: The Vietnamese and the Americans in Vietnam," which won both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award.
  • John Burns: Baghdad bureau chief for the New York Times. Burns was not officially part of the panel, but he was invited up out of the audience to share his assessment of the war in Iraq.
