The 88 has landed a number of its songs on Fox's teen drama "The O.C." But even that can't take away from the group's great hooks and dreamy vocals.

Austin, TX — Members of The 88 say their band was named after the number of keys on a piano or the number of constellations in the sky, or maybe after a song by the French Kicks. You choose. The Los Angeles quintet is the latest incarnation of California power pop-rock. The group's second album Over and Over is filled with catchy choruses and riffs that recall early Kinks.
