Dr. Jon Hallberg: Mental health issues get short shrift

HealthPartners, one of Minnesota's largest medical groups, has announced it will stop providing mental health therapy at one of its Minneapolis clinics. Other health care providers have recently made similar cuts. This comes on the heels of a disturbing case in which a mentally ill man killed his stepmother, after he was turned away from Fairview Southdale Hospital because there were no available beds. Medical analyst Dr. Jon Hallberg says providers still don't give mental health issues the attention they deserve.
