Julie Andrews, from acting to directing
by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioDecember 6, 2005
It's been 40 years since "The Sound of Music," starring Julie Andrews, became one of the biggest movie musicals ever. Ten years earlier, Andrews charmed Broadway as the star of "The Boy Friend." Andrews is back with a new production of "The Boy Friend," this time as its director. MPR's Tom Crann talked with Andrews at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul, where "The Boy Friend" is now playing.
