Sen. Coleman on who should control the Internet
by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioNovember 21, 2005
Sen. Norm Coleman is in a dispute with the UN over control of the Internet. Last week, the UN sponsored an international conference on the future of the Internet. Coleman opposed a proposal to take control of the Internet's domain-naming system away from an American nonprofit called the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers -- or I-CANN. The proposal was defeated for the time being. Coleman talked to MPR's Tom Crann.
