Minnesota is the center of American puppetry this week. Puppet Fest 2005 is going on now in Minneapolis, featuring giant puppets, human-sized puppets, marionettes, shadow puppets, stick puppets, and even sock puppets. All the variety prompts the question, what is a puppet, anyway?
