Blood shortage hits Minnesota

Many Minnesota hospitals are operating with just a one-day supply of blood. Blood inventories usually go down this time of year, but Joann Tumin, hospital services manager for the North Central Blood Services Division of the American Red Cross, told All Things Considered host Tom Crann that some summers are worse than others.
