Heavy rains hit Mower County overnight

Officials in Mower County are using boats to rescue motorists and home owners left stranded by rising water after a night of heavy rain. The Mower County Sheriff says rising water has closed several heavily traveled roads in the Austin area, including Interstate 90 near Dexter, U.S. Highway 218 near Austin, and Minnesota Highway 56 near Adams, along with many rural roads.
