'The fans were taken'

An article in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated alleges that former Minnesota Twin Kirby Puckett has a history of sexual misconduct. Puckett is currently charged with groping a woman in an Eden Prairie restaurant last September. The magazine's revelations further tarnish Puckett's "good guy" image in Minnesota. Co-author Frank Deford tells MPR's Cathy Wurzer "the fans were taken. They gave their hearts away, and it turned out that the man to whom they gave their hearts was not quite so deserving."
