Bob Edwards is hosting Fresh Air!

Not really. But I'm struck by the similarities between PRI's Bob Edwards Weekend and NPR's Fresh Air: Meaty interviews with interesting people from the world of literature, music, politics, and history.

I haven't heard Bob Edwards since he left Morning Edition. He went to XM Satellite Radio. I'm not a subscriber. I've missed Bob. Bob Edwards Weekend
airs on 90 or so public radio stations but it's not carried where I live. So I was glad to learn that it's now available via free podcast.
(Subscribe to the podcast of Bob Edwards Weekend.)
I listened to several shows yesterday on a long walk and through a sleepless night. Good stuff. I'm thrilled to have another podcast to listen to. I've sampled a hundred podcasts but listen regularly to only a few. They include Fresh Air, Mark Kermode's film reviews on BBC Five Live, 60 Minutes, and Future Tense
(I listen to my own program on my iPod not because I like to hear my own voice, but rather to control quality).
