3D printers edge closer to the home
Posted at 11:37 AM on May 14, 2007 by Jon Gordon
My last two Future Tense segments cover 3D printing. On Friday's show (RealAudio - MP3 - iTunes), I talked with Evan Malone from Cornell's Fab@Home, an open source project that sells kits for hobbyists. And today (RealAudio - MP3 - iTunes) I talked with the CEO of Desktop Factory, a Pasadena company that plans to sell 3D printers for about $5,000 later this year.
Here is a time-lapse video of the making of a ducky in a 3D printer.
