House committee to hold key cybersecurity hearing Thursday

On the agenda for the Subcommitte on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity and Science and Technology tomorrow, a hearing entitled “Cyber Insecurity: Hackers are Penetrating Federal Systems and Critical Infrastructure.”
Witnesses include Mr. Dave Jarrell, Manager, Critical Infrastructure Protection Program, U.S. Department of Commerce; Mr. Donald Reid, Senior Coordinator for Security Infrastructure, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, U.S. Department of State; Mr. Jerry Dixon, Director, National Cyber Security Division, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Mr. Greg Wilshusen, Director, Information Security Issues, Government Accountability Office; Mr. Ken Silva, Chief Security Officer, VeriSign; Mr. Aaron Turner, Cybersecurity Strategist, National & Homeland Security, Idaho National Laboratory; Mr. Rob Thomas, President, Team Cymru.
Cybersecurity expert Alan Paller of the SANS Institute tells me this one is worth watching.
