James Kim, 1971-2006

Posted at 10:25 AM on December 7, 2006 by Jon Gordon

CNET digital audio expert James Kim was found dead in the rugged Oregon wilderness yesterday, after an ordeal that his wife and two children survived. CNET's Greg Sandoval writes about Kim's life here.

Kim was a friend of Future Tense, appearing several times over the last few years as a commentator on digital audio issues. In my last interview, Kim offered advice on replacing iPod batteries (MP3 file).
