A lovely May day

Today's weather is about the way you would draw it up for this time of year. Temperatures will be close to seasonal normals. Low dew points and a bit of a breeze will make it feel a little on the cool side in the shade.

A few fair weather cumulus clouds formed this morning to decorate the sky in southern Minnesota. High clouds will mute the sunshine a tad this afternoon.

Thursday will be one of the nicest days of the month of May. Temperatures are expected to climb into the 70s by mid afternoon.

A frontal system swings through the upper Midwest Thursday night and Friday. Here's the NAM output for accumulated precipitation from near daybreak on Friday to late afternoon.

The weekend promises to be delightful for planting the annuals. A mild and mostly dry weather pattern looks to be shaping up for next week.
