Visible satellite image from around 345PM CDT of the upper Midwest.

The northern sections of Minneapolis and into Anoka County received damage from a tornado track that began around Highway 100 and I394. Ongoing severe weather is slamming a large portion of the Midwest as shown by the cloud tops in this satellite image.

The Tornado Watch continues from the Twin Cities on east to Eau Claire and southeast to Rochester and LaCrosse through the afternoon. Listen for later statements and warnings from your local NWS Office.

Track all the storm reports here at the Storm Prediction Centers website.

More scattered thunderstorms are in the offing into the evening hours. The brunt of the dangerous storms has shifted into Wisconsin, eastern Iowa and Illinois. But remain sky aware.
