Saturday, April 16 certainly brought a reminder of winter to most Minnesotans, especially so up north. Some northern Minnesota observers reported significant snowfall, even record setting amounts for the date in some cases.
Grand Forks, ND reported a record 7.8 inches
International Falls reported a record 5.8 inches
Red Lake Falls reported a record 8.0 inches
Chisholm reported a record 8.0 inches
Bemidji reported 6.5 inches (2nd most ever for April 16th)
Other reports included 5.6 inches at Little Fork, and 5.0 inches at Orr and Grand Rapids.
Continued cool temperatures may bring another chance for snow up north later into the coming week.
