The winds of autumn

The winds of autumn are blowing around Minnesota today.

A cold front is sailing through southeast Minnesota, and northwest winds behind the front are pushing gusts to over 40 mph today in west central Minnesota. Winds are gusting as high as 35mph in Lakeville in the south metro.

Gusty winds will linger today, as colder air builds in the Arctic.

A wind advisory has been posted for much of central Minnesota today.

MYC weather station at Lighthouse Island on Lake Minnetonka shows gusts to 35 mph today.
