Major Denver Snow: Rain tracking into Minnesota

Snow is piling up by the foot near Denver today.

A major winter storm is blasting Colorado with heavy snow. Traffic cameras show the major storms effects. The snow is part of a huge western storm system spreading into the Dakotas that will move into Minnesota Thursday.

Denver NEXRAD shows heavy snow along the Front Range.

Snowfall reports already show one to two feet of snow near Denver and Boulder, with the highest totals in the foothills and mountains west of Denver.

The snow continues to fly in the Black Hills near Rapid City South Dakota. Minnesota will see mostly rain from this storm. Expect a wet day Thursday, with a few thunderstorms possible. Rainfall amounts could be between .50" and 1" in many locations.
