Choose your conundrum

You may wish to begin planning a trip to Disney World. As I look at the national weather map it is a colorful display of potential and current weather problems.
Cold air is hard to dislodge. As the milder air surges back on south winds it overruns the colder air and creates lift which results in precipitation. The most signifcant nearby weather drama will be in far southeast Minnsesota and then south and east. Heavy snow from northern Iowa to central and southern Wisconsin will transition to an ice storm in southern Iowa, northern Missouri and east into Illinois.
Snowfall through noon Friday will range from about seven inches in Lacresent, four inches in Rochester, about two inches in the Twin Cities and one inch in St. Cloud and Pine City.
Another snow system is waiting in the wings for Saturday.
