After the smack in the face of 50 mph winds and snow flakes on Sunday, we have worked our way back to comfortable temperatures. On Monday, in the Twin Cities the high temperature was 40 degrees, by Wednesday we enjoyed an afternoon reading of 54.
Yesterday, a number of folks took to the golf course, based on the promise of mild temperatures, and the mercury soared to 71 in the Twin Cities and 77 degrees in Redwood Falls.
A wind shift to the north will lower our max temperature some ten degrees today, but still above normal.
We are watching well to our west as heavy rain moves into northern California. This looks be the system to bring welcome moisture to parts of Minnesota on Election Day.
If you followed the blog about the mild start to November, you might want to check it again with regard to the six to ten day outlook. We are transitiioning into the season of challenging forecasts beyond five days out. You will want to stay tuned.
