Soaking on the way for NYC

A very wet weather system will be churning up the Atlantic Coast in the next sixty hours. If travel plans take you to New York be prepared for drenching rains.

Here in the Gopher State, locally heavy rains are most likely in northern Minnesota during the next forty-eight hours. South winds are pushing unseasonably warm air into the upper Midwest.

Three-day rainfall potential


A cool front will move through the state Friday night and early Saturday morning. Temperatures behind the front will not be particularly chilly for late September.
